Fancy a drink? (if you're in Mumbai or Manila...)
I’ve been writing a few posts about Nasscom in India recently. I thought I should mention that it is time for the Nasscom annual leadership forum very soon in Mumbai.
This is the time of year when everyone who is anyone in the Indian technology industry gets together and plans the year ahead. For the most part, company differences are laid aside and everyone works for the good of India. It is a really useful event that generates a lot of information about what is going on in outsourcing in India and I expect to be blogging often while I am there.
I had a great time last year and I can vividly recall the grin on Raman Roy’s face when I called him the Richard Branson of India. It’s an impressive event to be a part of and I’m fortunate to have been there regularly for several years now. What is interesting for me this year though, is that I am going to be speaking at the equivalent event in the Phillippines in the same week as the Nasscom event in India.
I’m a bit worried though because I got an email from a friend of mine at Equaterra is the US telling me that he also plans to be in Manila for the event and that I am not going to get away from Manila without ingesting copious amounts of San Miguel. I hope I can make it for my flight to Mumbai!
If any readers plan to be at Manila or Mumbai next week for either of these shows then feel free to drop me an email or SMS, assuming I have not left my phone in a bar in Manila attempting to escape the outsourcing analysts and their night out.
